About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Estimator to support our growing Mitigation Division. This role is responsible for inspecting losses, developing accurate mitigation scopes and estimates, communicating with insurance carriers and homeowners, and ensuring projects are set up for successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Scoping
• Inspect residential and commercial water, mold, and fire losses
• Develop accurate mitigation scopes using IICRC standards
• Prepare estimates using Xactimate or similar software
• Ensure proper documentation, photos, and job notes are completed
Customer & Carrier Communication
• Explain scope of work and mitigation process to homeowners
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and carriers
• Respond promptly to revisions and documentation requests
• Maintain professionalism during stressful loss situations
Project Coordination
• Work closely with mitigation crews and dispatch to ensure jobs start quickly
• Confirm scope alignment between estimating and field execution
• Identify supplemental opportunities and change orders
• Support job closeout and billing accuracy
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate job files in CRM systems
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and carrier requirements
• Track estimates, approvals, and job statuses

• Strong adjuster and customer relationships
• High customer satisfaction
Qualifications
• 2+ years of mitigation estimating experience
• Proficiency with Xactimate
• Strong understanding of IICRC standards
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT)
• Experience working directly with insurance carriers
• Restoration CRM experience
